UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is no stranger to film. In the past, Silva was featured in his own documentary, Like Water, which chronicled his struggle and training leading up to his first fight with Chael Sonnen. The documentary was brilliant and truly captured Silva’s personality while detailing the behind the scenes aspects of being a fighter that fans are not always familiar with, but this time Silva will be in a new type of film.
The upcoming film Tapped will feature Silva along with fellow Blackhouse teammate Lyoto Machida and former TUF contestant Krzysztof Soszynski.
Tapped is simply summarized as:
A disgruntled teenager, sent to do community service at a rundown Karate school, enters an MMA tournament to face the man that killed his parents.
Over the weekend, the official trailer for the film was unveiled, so check it out and see how the UFC champ’s acting chops hold up:
Of course, don’t forget that Silva will be putting his title on the line on Saturday, July 6, when he faces off against undefeated challenger Chris Weidman at UFC 162.
