Perennial title contender Urijah Faber is no stranger to being in big fights, so it is no surprise to see “The California Kid” getting the call for the co-main event for UFC on FOX 9 in his hometown of Sacramento, California.

To make the fight even more entertaining, Faber will be taking on his friend Michael McDonald in the major bout.

The UFC made the news official on Wednesday night on UFC Tonight:

Faber and McDonald hinted that they would be okay fighting each other following their previous victories at UFC Fight Night 26, and now the fight will be coming to fruition.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the fight plays out, but the two men will likely face off to determine who will be the next contender in the bantamweight division.

Will it be Faber or McDonald? We’ll have to wait and see.
