Journeyman Scott “The Bear” Barrett has fought in several notable promotions including Bellator and XFC. Now the heavyweight will be bringing his talents to Las Vegas.
World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo announced that Barrett has signed an exclusive contract with the organization.
Training with the Blackzillians in Florida, The Bear boasts a 13-3 record. In his last fight at XFC 18, back in June, Barrett went the distance with Gabriel Salinas-Jones and earned a split-decision win.
With 10 of his wins coming by knockout, he will no doubt bring some punching power to the WOSF’s heavyweight division, which is lacking a champion. Barrett also has a tough chin, having only been finished once in his mixed martial arts career.
By training with one of the best gyms in the country and having good hands, The Bear could become a force in the WSOF’s heavyweight division and even rise to become a champion.
Barrett is scheduled to make his debut for the promotion in 2014.
