UFC lightweight contender Josh Thomson is coming off of an impressive win over Nate Diaz back in April, and he is preparing to take on former champion Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 10 in Chicago next month.
Thomson took some time out of his busy schedule to answer questions for the fans at the UFC Fight Club Q&A on Friday afternoon before the official weigh-ins for UFC on FOX 9, where he showed off the great personality that has made him a fan favorite.
During the Q&A, Thomson was discussing his charity and community work that he is actively involved in, along with encouraging kids to take up wrestling and answering questions about all aspects of mixed martial arts.
As the Q&A came to an end, Thomson allowed some kids down on to the stage where he made their day with a nice photo op and staredown that they won’t soon forget.
It was a great moment and goes to show why athletes in MMA are unlike any other sport, with their availability and embracing nature that they often show to the fans.
Kudos to Thomson for making the kids happy and being one of the genuinely good guys in the sport.
