Last night, UFC on FOX 9, put on another fantastic show for the fans. There was something for everyone: quick finishes, submissions, knockouts, bloody bouts, back and forth battles, and more.

Demetrious Johnson defended his title in spectacular fashion once again, by knocking out Joseph Benavidez in the very first round. A powerful right hook from Demetrious sent Benavidez crumbling to the mat unconscious. The win makes it two finishes in a row for the Flyweight champion on Fox. The UFC most definitely has a budding star on it’s hands.

In the co-main event of the evening, Urijah Faber staked his claim as the #1 contender for the Bantamweight title. After rocking Michael McDonald with a right hook, Faber latched on his patented guillotine and forced McDonald to tap out in the second round. The win makes it four in a row for Faber. He looked incredible in dispatching the young lion that is Michael McDonald. Faber will most definitely get another crack at UFC gold.

Chad Mendes and Joe Lauzon also picked up unanimous decision victories on the FOX card as well last night in decent fights. Mendes looked timid all night, compared to his usually very aggressive style. He attributed his issues to a bad sinus infection he has been dealing with.

Today, I look at all eight fighters from the main card and determine what the UFC should do with them next.
