UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is undoubtedly the best female fighter in the 135-pound division. Rousey is currently set to defend her title against heated rival Miesha Tate at next weekend’s year-end event, but there is another potential opponent that has had people talking.
Undefeated women’s bantamweight prospect and former professional boxer Holly Holm is someone that has been gaining buzz in the mixed martial arts world and many would like to see her signed to the UFC to take on Rousey.
If Rousey had her say on whether or not she would take on Holm down the road, she would welcome the fight.
Holm, who trains at Greg Jackson’s MMA, is currently 6-0 with five knockouts to her credit. As for Rousey, she is looking to improve on her 7-0 record with all wins coming by way of first-round submissions.
It would be an exciting fight and your classic striker vs. grappler match up, so we will have to see whether or not Holm signs with the UFC in the near future and if the bout can come to fruition.
