UFC 172 may be two pay per view cards away, but that can not stop the hype train that is building for the event. The UFC has put together a stellar card headlined by UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, defending his title against the heavy handed Glover Teixeira.

Yesterday, the UFC released the official poster, and it is one of the best in some time:

Once again, the UFC has decided to make a poster featuring only the main event. By no means does that mean the rest of the UFC 172 card is poor. In fact, it is one of the best cards on paper over the next few months.

Also featured on the card are two former StrikeForce champions. In the co-main event, the former StrikeForce Welterweight champion, Tarec Saffiedine, looks to get his second UFC victory over Jake Ellenberger. Former StrikeForce Middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold, is also featured on the card as he takes on Tim Boetsch.

The card is absolutely stacked thus far. Check out the entire UFC 172 card below:

  • Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira – UFC Light Heavyweight Championship
  • Jake Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine
  • Phil Davis vs. Anthony Johnson
  • Tim Boetsch vs. Luke Rockhold
  • Joseph Benavidez vs. Timothy Elliott
  • Joe Ellenberger vs. Yancy Medeiros
  • Andre Fili vs. Max Holloway
  • Bethe Correia vs. Jessamyn Duke
