Last night, at UFC 171, Diego Sanchez lost a unanimous decision to Myles Jury. Today, Sanchez is blaming his poor choice of food the night prior as the reason for his loss.

Check out these tweets from Sanchez:

While Sanchez may have a valid point that he was fighting ill, every fighter that steps into the Octagon is likely dealing with some ailment. In reality, Sanchez fought the exact same fight he fought against Gilbert Melendez, except Jury was not an opponent who is willing to trade.

Instead, Jury fought a brilliant fight and stuck and move, picking Diego apart at every turn. Jury’s game plan perfectly countered the game plan of Sanchez, and that is what won him the fight. We will see where both men’s careers go from here.
