UFC on FOX 11 started off with a heavyweight match up between Derrick Lewis and Jack May, which showcased plenty of powerful striking and a quick finish with Lewis coming out on top after a first-round TKO win.

Round 1: May opened up with some powerful leg kicks that showed off his background in kickboxing, but Lewis was able to land a big take down to showcase his strength. Lewis pulled May away from the cage, but was unable to posture up because of double-underhooks from May. May nearly took Lewis’ back after a slick reversal, and he ended up in the dominant position up against the cage. May got a takedown and immediately went to full mount, where he briefly looked for the arm triangle. May seemed to be in control, but Lewis popped out from the bottom and showed his power with some vicious ground-and-pound. May attempted to land a takedown, but Lewis sprawled and landed some huge power shots to put May away before the bell in dominating fashion. After the fight it appeared that May had injured his knee.
