UFC welterweight Alex Oliveira wanted for allegedly assaulting his ex-wife and endangering their child according to multiple Brazilian news outlets.
UFC fighter Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira is wanted by Brazilian police after allegedly assaulting his ex-wife and endangering their child according to reports from g1.globo.com. The report says that Oliveira rode a motorcycle holding his five-month-old son in Tres Rios, RJ on Saturday morning in the Morada do Sol area neighborhood.
According to police Oliveira was involved in two incidents, the first a arguments with a security guard when he left a party Capri Island around 5:30 pm. The guard reported that Oliveira ade threats. The second involved an alleged assault and child endangerment.
A second report, from MMABrasil, claims that his ex-wife told police she was “beaten with hair-pulling and punching by Alex, who still broke some windows and the door of her parents’ house.” He reportedly left his son with his sister before feeling the scene.
At press time Oliveira had not been located, arrested or charged with a crime.
Oliveira is on a two-fight losing streak having lost back-to-back showing to Mike Perry and Gunnar Nelson. His last win came via 39 second knockout of Carlo Pedersoli Jr. at UFC Fight Night 137 – Santos vs. Anders. He hasn’t fought in the Octagon since April and at press time had no fight booked.
The UFC has yet to comment on the incident.
