UFC lightweight, Paddy Pimblett, has made a big change to his appearance and it’s jarring.

On Friday the fighter posted a series of training videos where it appears he’s trimmed his iconic hair. The hair, which American fans either love or hate, is inspired by The Beatles who made the mop-top trim, iconic. Pimblett, who hails from the same hometown as John, Paul, George and Ringo now sports a more American-style cut.

UPDATE —

Pimblett took to Twitter to assure fans he had not cut off his hair, he just had it trimmed.

“I’ve had it trimmed,” he said while showing off his long hair. “It’s not cut. As you can see, it’s just a trim. It’ll never get cut, this is staying like this.”

Pimblett shot to UFC stardom long before he ever entered the UFC. As a Cage Warriors champion, Pimblett was sought after by the UFC but turned down the offer multiple times in order to hone his skills. He finally made his debut at UFC Vegas 36 where he defeated Luigi Vendramini via first-round TKO.

Since then, fighters have been calling for a bout with him, including UFC 267 winner Khamzat Chimaev.

“Even got rat lip talking about me now, yous know who the fucking boy is,” Pimblett wrote on Twitter in response to Chimaev.
