Marc Diakiese has become the first UFC fighter to pose for Gay Times.

Rising UFC lightweight prospect Marc Diakiese has made history as the the first mixed martial arts fighter to pose for a gay magazine.

Stating there is ‘no difference’ between himself and homosexual athletes, the British native will be featured in the ‘GT Fitty’ of Gay Times’ March edition.

"“I like the idea that as people, we are all one,” stated Diakiese. “There’s a lot of people who are single-minded. We’re all the same, really, and as long as I get on with you and you get on with me, I’m fine. There’s no difference.“We’re in a new era in 2017. You can do and be whatever you want to be. We are all people, we are all the same, and so I’m pleased to be here and be featured in the magazine.”"

In terms of competition, Diakiese (11-0), a former BAMMA Lonsdale lightweight champion, has taken the UFC’s 135-pound division by storm since debuting with a violent second round TKO over Lukasz Sajewski at UFC 204 in October.

The 23-year-old, known as ‘Bonecrusher,’ would follow up this performance with a decision win over Frankie Pereez at UFC Fight Night 102. This win not only kept his perfect record in tact but also marked his bout in the United States.

Diakiese is currently slated to return to action against Teemu Packalen on undercard of UFC Fight Night 107 on March 18 in London. The entire card will go down at the 02 Arena and will be air on UFC Fight Pass.

A light heavyweight title fight between London native Jimi Manuwau and The Ultimate Fighter 19 winner Corey Anderson will serve as the main event.
