UFC 281: ESPN tech glitch ruined the Erin Blanchfield finish over Molly McCann (Photo)

Erin Blanchfield destroyed Molly McCann at UFC 281 but most of the fans missed it.

Erin Blanchfield came into UFC 281 looking to derail the hype train of Molly McCann but neither fighter would be the vocal point of the conversation when it was all over. This is despite the fact that McCann is among the more popular stars in the game, and a lot of people weren’t sure who Erin Blanchfield was as a fighter, but after an utterly dominating performance over McCann, no one can deny Blanchfield now.

If only ESPN had their stuff together.

Blanchfield broke down McCann pretty fast, took her to the ground, and ground out a dominating win. She delivered 100+ strikes on the ground alone, and eventually locked McCann in not one, but two Kimura armbars. The second sealed the deal

Yet it wasn’t the finish that had social media buzzing.

A bizarre glitch popped up during the broadcast of the Erin Blanchfield victory over Molly McCann fight

Right at the climax of the fight, a bizarre broadcast glitch popped up on many people’s broadcasts, showing the hostname of the event, as well as the IP address from which the event was broadcast and even what type of channel it was (a preview).

This isn’t very normal to see, especially considering the IP address may in fact be that of Madison Square Garden and that’s not exactly the information you want just anybody to have.

There’s no word why it happened but keep following along with FanSided and we may be able to update you later if we find out anything new.
