On Saturday, Sept. 10, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, we’re going to get three totally different fights than we thought we were at UFC 279. UFC 279 will mark Nate Diaz’s potential departure from the UFC, which he has been a staple in since winning The Ultimate Fighter 5 in 2007.
But Diaz isn’t fighting Khamzat Chimaev like previously billed. Instead, he’ll fight Tony Ferguson.
Now follow along here, things get tricky. Ferguson’s old opponent, Li Jingliang will fight Daniel Rodriguez. Rodriguez’s old opponent, Kevin Holland, will now fight Chimaev.
Yeah, that all happened.
