Kansas Sports Betting Legalization Timeline
A bill allowing sports betting in the state passed the Kensas Senate in 2021, but it wasn’t until a Kansas House committee started putting it into effect until March of 2022. While the House and Senate were initially divided into the language of SB84, eventually, it passed 21-13.
Governor Laura Kelly signed the bill in May and it became law on the first of July, 2022.
Within the course of the bill, retail and mobile sports betting became available through the four casinos within the state, with each casino having up to three online skins and as much as 50 retail partners.
