FanSided is celebrating International Women’s Day 2024 by recognizing 20 women in sports and entertainment who made the world a better, more diverse, more equitable and more inclusive place this year. The curated list of 20 women we are highlighting was selected by FanSided sports and entertainment editors.

Since its formal adoption by the UN in 1977, International Women’s Day has been not just an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of incredible women around the world, but to connect that celebration with a specific theme.

This year’s theme is Inspire Inclusion and FanSided is thrilled to be championing incredible women in sports and entertainment building on what we started with our Why We Play stories, covering diversity and inclusion in sports, and FanSided FORE, our women’s sports vertical.
