Margot Robbie is no stranger to fame. The Australian actress has starred in multiple critically acclaimed films, both box-office hits and independent projects. However, Robbie solidified herself as a household name in 2023 after starring in the blockbuster feature, Barbie. Robbie was nominated for an Academy Award in 2018 for her role in I, Tonya (which the actress also produced), again in 2020 for Best Supporting Actress (Bombshell), and she is up for another Academy Award in 2024 for Best Picture (Barbie). Robbie’s awards and nominations are very much deserved, but the time to recognize the actress as the powerhouse she truly is has been long overdue.

How they're making a difference in equity and inclusion
Margot Robbie brings Barbie to life, the beautiful “stereotypical” doll. Barbie makes audiences cry, sob, laugh, and cry again (this time, happy tears). But most importantly, the movie makes us FEEL. Women feel seen, heard, and empowered. We have Greta Gerwig to thank for writing such a beautiful story! Let’s also thank Robbie for her constant commitment to her work. No matter the actress's role, the dedication and passion Robbie pours into her character shines through the screen. I can’t imagine any other actress bringing Barbie to life. The movie is a beautiful and emotional ride that leaves an impact, thanks to her.
What we’ll remember about this fandom a decade from now
Margot Robbie fans will forever remember the star’s craft. From playing the giddy Harley Quinn, to taking a far more serious role in I, Tonya, and the inspirational Barbie, Robbie’s performances are always powerful. We will forever remember the influence Barbie had on the world, as well as so many quotes from the movie! And so I leave you with one of my favorite quotes from Barbie, said by Barbie (Robbie) herself: “I want to do the imagining, not be the idea”.
