The Cincinnati Bengals picked up a huge win in Week 17 over the Kansas City Chiefs, and it gave them a path to the No. 1 seed in the AFC in Week 18.

However, it appears the Bengals won’t make a push for the top seed in the conference since they need both the Chiefs and Tennessee Titans to lose and more for it to happen.

Joe Mixon is already out due to COVID-19, and quarterback Joe Burrow revealed that he also won’t play in Week 18 against the Cleveland Browns.

The Bengals have clinched the AFC North and a home playoff game, but the oddsmakers at WynnBET don’t have much confidence in Cincy, even after it knocked off Kansas City.

Burrow and the Bengals have worse odds than the Indianapolis Colts, who have yet to clinch a playoff spot, to win the conference and advance to the Super Bowl this season.

Talk about some disrespect.

Latest Odds to Win AFC

  • Kansas City Chiefs: +175
  • Buffalo Bills: +280
  • Tennessee Titans: +425
  • New England Patriots: +700
  • Indianapolis Colts: +800
  • Cincinnati Bengals: +900
  • Los Angeles Chargers: +2000
  • Las Vegas Raiders: +5000
  • Baltimore Ravens: +25000
  • Pittsburgh Steelers: +25000

While Indianapolis controls its own destiny against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18, the Colts have not won in Jacksonville since the 2014 season.

This year’s Jaguars team is the worst team in the NFL and a 15-point underdog in this game, but I think the oddsmakers are giving the Colts too much credit in these odds.

Cincinnati may not be good enough to get to the Super Bowl, but it has shown it can beat top-tier teams in the NFL this season. The home game in the first round is also important, and there is no path for Indy to be in that position.

If you’re looking for a long shot bet, you could do worse than Bengals +900.
