The BetSided crew of Donnavan Smoot and Reed Wallach split their MLB best prop bets from Saturday's action.

They hit at plus-value with Logan Webb of the San Francsico Giants to strike out more than 5.5 Reds at +105, while New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole proved them wrong by going over his 6.5 (+125 on the under) projected strikeouts at home vs. the Houston Astros.

For today's Sunday slate of afternoon games, Ben Heisler, Peter Dewey and Joe Summers lay out their favorite MLB props of the day, highlighting on three Central division teams in both the AL and NL.

Here are our favorite props for today's afternoon slate of games, with odds via WynnBET, as well as consensus lines.

Roansy Contreras UNDER 5.5 strikeouts (-135)

The top-ranked Pirates pitching prospect's made six starts since May 24, and while he's showed flashes of brilliance in moments, I can't trust him to hit his prop number of 5.5 today on the road vs. the Rays.

The 22-year old phenom's 9.16 K/9 would normally indicate that he should clear his number without much hesitation, but the major issue for him is length in his starts. He's lasted more than five-plus innings just once this year, going less than five in two of his last three on the road.

The Pirates are the biggest underdog on the board at WynnBET today, and despite the Rays being a bottom-10 strikeout team in baseball, I just don't believe in Contreras to give himself a chance to hit this prop without extending his innings. He's only hit this number in two of his six starts this year, and I'm betting it goes 2-7 this afternoon. -- Ben Heisler

Brady Singer OVER 4.5 strikeouts (-125)

Styles make fights, right? That works in Singer's favor today, as I expect his slider to devastate a poor Athletics lineup. Singer throws his slider just under 40% of the time, and it's his best strikeout pitch with a 41.5% whiff rate.

Well, Oakland is terrible against sliders. Of today's starting lineup, seven players have a whiff percentage above 32% and strikeout percentage above 26% against sliders. The A's are awful against the pitch, and we've seen that play out as Singer has 11 strikeouts in 11 career innings against Oakland.

Singer has cleared this prop in four of his last seven starts, only missing it by one punch-out twice. I expect him to throw six innings, which gives us plenty of room to get over 4.5 strikeouts utilizing that slider. -- Joe Summers

The Orioles are on fire lately, but I’m fading their starting pitcher Jordan Lyles on Sunday against the White Sox.

Lyles has made 14 starts this season and allowed three or more runs in nine of them. He is coming off a solid outing against the Nationals, but prior to that he had allowed 15 runs in 15.1 innings over three starts.

On the season, Lyles’ ERA has ballooned to 4.92, and I think Chicago gets their bats going after losing four straight games to fall to 33-37. -- Peter Dewey
