Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud shot to the top of the odds board for the 2021 Heisman Trophy after his six touchdown performance against Michigan State last week.

Stroud is now the odds-on favorite to take home the hardwood, -200 at WynnBET Sportsbook, after entering the week at +200. Before the season, he was +1600 to win the Heisman.

The freshman quarterback was dynamite on Saturday, putting up video game like numbers. He completed 32-of-35 passes for 432 yards to go with his six TD passes. Stroud was on the money all afternoon; easily having the signature performance of the year from any player this season in a top 10 matchup.

Stroud will have the opportunity to cement his Heisman candidacy on Saturday in Ann Arbor in "The Game" against Michigan, with the winner going to the Big Ten Championship game and in the driver seat for the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes are 7.5-point road favorites over the Wolverines.

Does Alabama's Bryce Young Still Have a Shot at the Heisman?

Chasing behind Stroud is Alabama's Bryce Young, who is +140 to lift the award.

Young has the stats to put up a fair debate, sixth in the country in passing yards with 3,584 and the second most passing touchdowns with 38. Young will play in the 'Iron Bowl' at Auburn this Saturday and potentially in the SEC Championship against No. 1 Georgia. Don't count Young out just yet, but it may take some help for him to win.

It does appear to be a two-man race though, with no other player shorter than +4000 odds, so keep an eye on this compelling race in the final week of the regular season.
