The Dallas Cowboys travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs, who have won three straight and are starting to look more like the elite roster that we have come to expect with Patrick Mahomes under center.

These are two teams coming off of a blowout wins on Sunday, the Cowboys winning 45-3 at home against the Falcons, and the Chiefs winning 41-14 in Las Vegas against the Raiders.

We have seen some line movement throughout the week in the game with the highest total, so let's break it down, with odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

  • The UNDER is 5-0 in the Cowboys’ last five games against the AFC West.
  • The Chiefs are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games.

Cowboys vs. Chiefs Prediction and Pick

I believe the Chiefs are being overvalued in this spot. While some may quickly say that the team is back to their winning ways, they beat the Green Bay Packers without Aaron Rodgers, the lowly New York Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders.

The real issue I have is with the Chiefs defense, who are still 25th or worse in both defensive pass and rush success rate. Dallas' offense got back on track with Dak Prescott, rolling the Falcons, scoring 45 points in the win.

While I like Dallas a ton as a teaser piece, I do find myself siding with their team total over. The Cowboys can win by throwing with Prescott or running the rock with the likes of Eziekel Elliot and Tony Pollard. Either way I see an edge for Dallas and see them able to put up points on a still poor Chiefs defense.

I'll take the Cowboys team total over 27.5 at a cheap price.

PICK: Cowboys TT OVER 27.5 (-105)
