BetSided's Peter Dewey picked New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge to go yard on Wednesday, and he delivered!

Problem was, BetSided Managing Editor, Ben Heisler goofed up and put the pick in for the wrong game; highlighting Judge to go deep in Game 2 of their doubleheader vs. the Minnesota Twins.

The unofficial BetSided Team of Editors that all participate in our "Daily Dinger" contest had an "emergency" board meeting to discuss the validity of the pick, and came to the conclusion that in the interest of trying to take down Heisler, the leader in the clubhouse, that the pick would indeed count in the standings.

Is it collusion? Is it blasphemy? Mostly, it's just fun, so let's see if the team stays hot for a short slate of games on Thursday.

Best Home Run Picks Today

Carlos Correa (+600) - Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees

I’m going to be honest, my friends. There aren’t a ton of great opportunities for home run props tonight. The slate is a small one with NFL opening night going on, and virtually every game that is scheduled has a fantastic pitching matchup.

So, instead of breaking down numbers and trying to find a value spot, I’m just going to fade one of my least favorite teams in all of sport, the New York Yankees. Sure, Nestor Cortez only gives up 1.1 home runs per nine innings, but maybe he'll be vulnerable tonight since he’s returning from an injury.

I elect Carlos Correa to be my knight in shining armor here. At +600, it would make my night if he could hit a dinger. Iain MacMillan

Jose Miranda (+600) – Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees

Miranda has already hit a home run in this series, showing he’s comfortable at Yankee Stadium. That gives me hope for tonight because Nestor Cortes is getting the start.

Cortes is being activated off the IL, so I’m betting it’ll take a little time for him to get acclimated.

On top of that, he’s given up a home run in each of his last three starts. Miranda will have every opportunity to hit one deep and he’ll take advantage of the situation.  – Donnavan Smoot

Aaron Judge (+280) – Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees

Well, I got back on track in our Daily Dinger picks by taking Aaron Judge on Wednesday, so why not go back to the well in a shortened, seven-game slate on Thursday?

Judge is on fire right now, homering in six of his last nine games, and he’s homered in four of his last five games at Yankees Stadium. At this point, do we really need to handicap a Judge pick? The man is far and away the best home run hitter (and player) in baseball this season.

Let’s ride with him on Thursday night. – Peter Dewey

A.J. Pollock (+340) - Chicago White Sox at Oakland Athletics

The Coliseum in Oakland is by no means the easiest park to hit home runs, but Pollock is always a threat to leave the yard, especially when he faces left-handed pitching.

Tonight, that lefty is J.P. Sears, making just his fifth start of the season for the A's after coming over in the Frankie Montas deal with the New York Yankees.

Pollock owns an impressive .415 weighted-on-base average (wOBA) vs. lefties this year, and an absurd isolated power of .378; more than 2.5x league average. 10 of his 11 home runs this year have all come vs. lefties, and his batting average against goes up by .051 points vs. southpaws (.225 vs. RHPs, .286 vs. LHPs).

Pollock, while not the massive value we've chased in the last handful of days, including our +800 hit on Bo Bichette, still sets up perfectly in this matchup where he should see the ball as well as he does all season. - Ben Heisler
