The Brooklyn Nets jumped from the No. 10 seed to the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference with their win over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, and they have another must-win against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

The Nets were fortunate enough to get losses from both the Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks to jump them in the standings, but the team isn’t completely out of the woods from landing in the No. 9 or 10 spot this season.

The Knicks, who will be without Julius Randle, are 6-4 over their last 10 games, but they have nothing to play for at this point in the season.

Let’s get into the odds for this game via WynnBET:

Nets vs. Knicks Prediction and Pick

The Knicks have really struggled as home underdogs this season, going just 4-10 against the spread, and I think they may be in trouble against the Nets tonight.

Now that Kyrie Irving can play in New York, the Knicks are going to face a much more complete Nets team than they did earlier this season, and Brooklyn is actually 12-10 against the spread as a road favorite.

The Knicks’ biggest issue all season has been their inconsistent offense, and they rank 20th in offensive rating over their last 10 games, while the Nets come in at seventh.

The Nets have struggled in back-to-backs (3-9-1 ATS), but this is a different team now that Irving is no longer sitting at home/in New York.

I can’t trust a banged up Knicks team (Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride are questionable) when the Nets have this much to play for in terms of playoff standing.

Lean: Nets -6 (-110)
