Trevor Lawrence finally had his shining moment in the NFL.

He led the Jacksonville Jaguars on a game-winning drive against the Baltimore Ravens and connected on a two-point conversion to win the game. The Jacksonville Jaguars won 28-27 to move to 4-7 and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Detroit is at 4-7, but doesn’t seem to have much of a playoff chance. That’s okay because Dan Campbell is winning games finally and the Lions nearly knocked off Buffalo on Thanksgiving.

These are two up-and-coming teams that could both use another big win, so it’ll make for hopefully a fantastic matchup in Week 13.

The Lions opened as two point favorites but this game is nearly a pick’em at this point. The total has also gone up from 49.5 to 51.5.

Jaguars vs. Lions Prediction and Best Bet

No team in the NFL allows more points than the Lions who give up 28.2 points a game and even when they’ve won three of their last four, the defense hasn’t been all that much better. They held Aaron Rodgers and his broken thumb to nine points and the Giants, who have clearly ran out of steam, to 18. Other than those performances, this is still a bad defense and if Trevor Lawrence really took a step last week he should be able to take advantage.

Travis Etienne was limited in practice this week and that would be a huge loss for Jacksonville if he can’t go, but Detroit has more serious injury problems. More than half of their offensive line is on the injury report and if Penei Sewell, Frank Ragnow, and/or Jonah Jackson can’t go, then that would be a big loss for Detroit.

I’m not sure what will happen with the injuries in this one, but if Etienne can’t go and the offensive line for Detroit is banged up then we might not get the amount of points that everyone expects. For now, I like the under and I think that the total will keep climbing, so I’ll wait until gameday to see the injury report and where this total lands.

Lean: Under 50.5 (-110)
