2020 Euro Odds: England Forwards Top Odds List to Be Named Player of the Tournament

The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship Final is set.

England and Italy will face-off for the rights to be crowned football champions of Europe. England is set as a slight favorite over Italy at WynnBET, but odds have also been released for who will win the UEFA Euro Best Player of the Tournament.

Two English forwards have separated themselves from the pack as they sit alone atop the odds list to win the award. Raheem Sterling is the current betting favorite at +275 with Harry Kane right behind him at +500 at WynnBET.

While Italy has dominated almost every team they’ve faced throughout the tournament, there hasn’t been a single Italian player that has stood out from the rest, and the odds reflect that. After Sterling and Kane, a slew of Italian players are next on the odds list.

Not only does Harry Kane have a chance to be named Best Player of the Tournament, but he can tie Portugal’s Christiano Ronaldo and Czech Republic’s Patrick Schick for the most goals in the tournament. Kane currently sits one back of the lead with four, and his English teammate Raheem Sterling is right behind him with three.

If England can best Italy in the Final, the award will likely go to whichever of the two English players notches the winning goal in the game.

Five different players on Italy have scored two goals so far this tournament. Lorenzo Insigne, Ciro Immobile, Federico Chiesa, Matteo Pessina and Manuel Locatelli have all notched two goals so far in the Championship, which explains why so many Italians have similar odds to win the award.

Since the Player of the Tournament award was introduced in the 1996 edition of the event, there’s only been one winner that came from the runner-up team. Antoine Greizmann achieved the feat in the 2016 Euros despite France losing to Portugal in the finals.

If Italy wins the Championship, don’t be surprised if Sterling or Kane are still given the honors of Player of the Tournament.
