When the Suns won the Western Conference Finals behind Chris Paul’s magnificent 41-point game, it felt like a dream. Paul, after 16 years, was finally making the NBA Finals. It was his moment and it looked like nothing was going to stop him from fully seizing it.

Heading into the Finals, Paul was the favorite for Finals MVP, with Devin Booker behind him and Giannis Antetokounmpo in third place. Most of Antetokounmpo’s odds were tied to his health, but after back-to-back 40-point, 10-rebound games, his injury status is no longer a concern

Paul has played great in the finals and is now secured as the front runner for the award. It’s been a different story for his teammate Devin Booker. Once again, Booker is struggling from the field and has seen his Finals MVP odds drop as a result.

WynnBET has Booker’s odds set at +600, while Antetokounmpo is at +200 and Paul is at -260. As long as Booker is struggling, it is a two-man race for Finals MVP.

Paul is averaging 24.7 points and 8.7 assists per game while shooting 56.6% from the floor. He’s been the heartbeat of the Suns’ offense and is running the show perfectly. Antetokounmpo is averaging 34.3 points per game and 14.0 rebounds and shooting 62.5% from the field.

The closest Bucks player to Antetokounmpo in the standings is Khris Middleton, but his odds are 20 times as long (+4000) to win the award.

At this point, the determining factor will be who wins the Finals. Both Paul and Antetokounmpo are playing at amazing levels and the winner of the Finals will have a nice second trophy to pair with it.
