Georgia is knocking on the door of history, and oddsmakers aren't making it easy for bettors to get in on it.

There is only one official three-peat in college football history -- Minnesota did it nearly 100 years ago between 1934 and 1936. The Bulldogs will look to become the second team to win three titles in a row behind a new quarterback and a defense that must replace a record five first-round picks.

The Bulldogs are the clear favorite in the betting market to win three straight national titles, +220, despite some clear questions.

The team doesn't have a clear No. 1 quarterback at the moment with returning quarterback Carson Beck or highly touted recruit Brock Vandagriff likely options, but the team is loaded with weapons, namely tight end Brock Bowers.

Further, Georgia has an incredibly easy schedule as the team should be favored by double digits in every game until November when the team faces Tennessee on the road. With limited difficult games and talent littered all over the roster, Georgia has the fewest questions heading into the season compared to its peers.

The second and third choice to win the National Championship are also going through quarterback turnover, with Alabama unsettled at QB (Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner, Jalen Milroe and Ty Simpson) in addition to Ohio State (freshman Kyle McCord and redshirt Devin Brown battling for the QB1 spot).

While Michigan has assumed control over the Big Ten over the past two seasons, the Wolverines are still the fourth choice to win the National Championship.

That leads many to side with the more proven product in the system that is Georgia, but there are plenty of other teams looking to breakthrough, including a reloaded Clemson team as well as Texas, Florida State and Penn State.
