3 Best NBA Prop Bets for Celtics vs. Heat Game 1 (Fade Bam Adebayo, Jaylen Brown in Scoring Props)
By Peter Dewey
The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics will kick off the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night in Miami, and yours truly has already made a pick on the spread in this game.
This is going to be an interesting series, as both of these teams are bottom seven in the league in pace and top five in defensive rating, so we may need to look at UNDERs in our player prop picks all series.
Here are three props that I’m considering for Game 1 via WynnBET:
Best Prop Bets for Celtics vs. Heat Game 1
- Grant Williams to Make 2+ 3-Pointers (-110)
- Bam Adebayo UNDER 15.5 Points (-115)
- Jaylen Brown UNDER 23.5 Points (-130)
Grant Williams to Make 2+ 3-Pointers (-110)
Grant Williams took 18, yes 18, 3-pointers in Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks, and while there’s no way he sees that volume again, Williams has attempted 5.5 shots from beyond the arc per game this postseason.
He is shooting 41.0% on those attempts, and now Williams faces a Heat team that may be content with leaving him open, similar to Milwaukee in the conference semifinals. This postseason, the Heat are allowing 11.3 3-pointers per game, and they were even worse in the regular season, ranking 22nd with 13.0 treys allowed per night.
Williams is a solid bet to get loose from deep on Tuesday.
Bam Adebayo UNDER 15.5 Points (-115)
I said we’d be betting some UNDERs in this series, and I want to start with Adebayo, who is averaging just 14.6 points per game in the playoffs.
Bam has cleared 15.5 points just four times in 11 playoff games, and now he has to face a Boston defense that made Giannis Antetokounmpo work for everything inside.
Adebayo doesn’t hunt his shot, so I think he’s one of the casualties in terms of scoring in this series with 100 looking like the magic number for either team to win.
Jaylen Brown UNDER 23.5 Points (-130)
Jaylen Brown is more dangerous than Adebayo, but he still hasn’t been an elite scorer in the playoffs, clearing this number just three times in 11 games.
Brown is going to get plenty of shots, but he’s also going to be hounded by P.J. Tucker, Jimmy Butler, Gabe Vincent, Victor Oladipo and Caleb Martin all night. In a game with a total at 204, I think Brown goes under even if he has a good performance.
