3 Best NBA Prop Bets for Heat vs. Sixers (Maxey is Regaining Momentum)
By Matt De Saro
The top team in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat hit the road to take on their Eastern Conference rivals in the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. It's the second game of a back-to-back for the Sixers, but both games will be played in their home arena.
Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Heat vs. Sixers
- Tyrese Maxey 3+ Threes Made (+165)
- Bam Adebayo UNDER 17.5 Points (-110)
- Matisse Thybulle 2+ Steals +130
Tyrese Maxey 3+ Threes Made (+165)
Despite the fact the Heat have a phenomenal defense, they were not able to stop Maxey the last time these two teams played. Maxey scored 17 points off of 3-of-6 from downtown. He has named at least two threes in eight of his last ten games and is averaging 5.2 attempts per outing.
While he isn’t pouring on the points like he was a few weeks back, he is more than capable of getting hot at any time and dropping a few tries to cash this bet.
Bam Adebayo UNDER 17.5 Points (-110)
This fade is less about Adebayo than it is about Joel Embiid. The pair will be scrapping all night in a matchup between two teams with phenomenal defense in the paint. Embiid in particular is a beast and I don’t think Adebayo has the skills to soar against him.
Adebayo has been playing well lately, having gone over this total in six of his last nine games. However, one of those games was against the Sixers and was Adebayo's worst game of the last two months. He scored just six points in 31 minutes thanks to Embiid’s killer defense. I expect similar struggles tonight.
Matisse Thybulle 2+ Steals (+130)
Thybulle has a way of really nagging offensive players and it has paid off. Thybulle leads the Sixers in steals per game and has been even more tenacious lately. He has gone over this total in three of his last four games including a six-steal game against the Nuggets last Monday. On top of this, the Heat rank 24th in the NBA in turnovers per game on offense.
