The Los Angeles Lakers are six-point underdogs at WynnBET Sportsbook on Sunday when they take on the Chicago Bulls.

I talked about all of the injuries and COVID-19 issues that each team is facing in our game preview, but what about some prop bets for tonight’s contest?

Here are three of my favorites:

Best Prop Bets for Lakers vs. Bulls

  • Alex Caruso OVER 1.5 3-Pointers Made (+115)
  • Isaiah Thomas UNDER 15.5 Points (-112)
  • LeBron James to Record a Double-Double (+125)

Alex Caruso OVER 1.5 3-Pointers Made (+115)

Can you say revenge game?

Caruso is thriving in Chicago since the Lakers refused to pay him what he’s worth this past offseason, and he’s cleared this number in two straight games and three of his last five.

Los Angeles is allowing 12.7 3-pointers per game this season (19th in the NBA), and Caruso is going to have an expanded offensive role with Zach LaVine out. I’ll take the over at plus odds.

Isaiah Thomas UNDER 15.5 Points (-112)

IT made his return to the NBA in the Lakers’ last game, dropping 19 points on 5-of-12 shooting in a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Thomas is a great comeback story, but I think this number is inflated, especially if the Lakers play a closer game on Sunday.

Thomas played 21:38 in his season debut, but the Bulls are a much tougher defensive team with bigger guards in Lonzo Ball and Caruso. I think Thomas gets his fair share of touches, but I’m not going to expect him to put up a huge scoring game again.

LeBron James to Record a Double-Double (+125)

LeBron James has been extremely solid for the Lakers since getting back into the lineup from his abdominal injury, and the four-time champion has some value to double-double on Sunday night.

James has four double-doubles and a triple-double over his last nine games, and he’s going to have the ball even more with Anthony Davis (knee) out of the lineup.

James has 10 or more boards in four of his last seven games, and he will play a lot of power forward against a small Bulls team, he could rack up plenty of rebounds. The points are a given, but I’ll take +125 odds for James to get 10 dimes or rebounds.
