3 Best NBA Prop Bets for Heat vs. Pistons (Back Saddiq Bey, Cade Cunningham)
By Peter Dewey
The Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons will face off on Sunday night with WynnBET Sportsbook currently displaying Miami as a 7.5-point favorite in this game.
The Heat have gotten contributions from different faces with Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler hurt, so who should you target tonight in your prop bets?
Here are three I like for this matchup:
Best Prop Bets for Heat vs. Pistons
- Dewayne Dedmon OVER 9.5 Rebounds (+100)
- Saddiq Bey OVER 14.5 Points (-120)
- Cade Cunningham OVER 30.5 Points, Rebounds, Assists (-112)
Dewayne Dedmon OVER 9.5 Rebounds (+100)
Dewayne Dedmon has done an admirable job filling in for Bam Adebayo, scoring in double figures in four straight games and posting a pair of double-doubles in the process.
Over his last nine games (all starts), Dedmon is averaging 9.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game for Miami and is facing a Pistons team tonight that is dead last in rebounding percentage (47.7 percent) in the league.
I think he can find double-digit boards and with his scoring coming along, I don’t mind sprinkling on him to get another double-double at +210 at WynnBET.
Saddiq Bey OVER 14.5 Points (-120)
The Pistons are in desperate need for some offense with Jerami Grant (torn UCL in his thumb) out for some significant time.
Saddiq Bey has stepped in and filled that role over the Pistons’ last two games, putting up 28 points and 23 points while shooting 18-for-33 from the field and 6-for-15 from beyond the arc.
While Bey is averaging just 12.9 points per game this season, these past two games have been two of his highest usage numbers and shots all season. He’s trending up, and I’m going to back him while this number is still manageable.
Cade Cunningham OVER 30.5 Points, Rebounds, Assists (-112)
If you’ve been following some of my NBA Best Bets this year, you know I love Cade Cunningham in this prop because of his insane usage and ability to stuff the stat sheet.
Cunningham has cleared 30.5 points, rebounds and assists in five of his last nine games, and he’s been a much better scorer as of late, averaging 22 points per game over his last eight games.
I think he hits the over again with Grant out for Detroit.
