3 Best NBA Prop Bets for Nuggets vs. Bucks (Fade Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday)
By Peter Dewey
The Denver Nuggets are 6.5-point underdogs against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, and I made a pick for this game in my NBA Best Bets column today.
Milwaukee has been dominant with Jrue Holiday healthy, going 27-11 this season.
Here are three player props at WynnBET to consider for the best matchup in the NBA on Sunday:
Best Prop Bets for Nuggets vs. Bucks
- Nikola Jokic OVER 25.5 Points (-125)
- Jrue Holiday UNDER 6.5 Assists (-115)
- Bobby Portis UNDER 14.5 Points (-135)
Nikola Jokic OVER 25.5 Points (-125)
The Denver Nuggets enter this game on a four-game winning streak, and Nikola Jokic is playing some of his best basketball of the season, posting seven straight games with 25 or more points and averaging 31.0 points, 13.3 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game over that stretch.
He’s averaging 26.2 points per game on the season. While the Bucks are solid defensively, they don’t have anyone size wise to match up with Jokic with Brook Lopez out.
Maybe Giannis Antetokounmpo gets a shot on Jokic, but I’d expect Milwaukee to play a lot of zone or put Bobby Portis on the MVP candidate.
When Jokic is playing at this level, there’s no way I’m fading him.
Jrue Holiday UNDER 6.5 Assists (-115)
I’m selling high on Jrue Holiday after he cleared this number in back-to-back games with seven and 10 dimes.
Prior to that, Holiday had three straight games with four or fewer assists, and he’s only averaging 6.5 per game this season.
With Donte DiVencenzo healthy and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton both playing, there’s just not as many chances for Holiday to set people up.
I think he falls slightly below his season average against a Denver team that is middle-of-the-pack in opponent assists per game.
Bobby Portis UNDER 14.5 Points (-135)
Bobby Portis has been solid in the Bucks’ starting lineup, averaging 14.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this season.
However, Portis has failed to clear 14.5 points in six of his last seven games, including a five-point outing in his last game.
Portis may not have as big of a role with Jokic on him, and with Jrue Holiday and Donte DiVencenzo healthy, he’s clearly taking a step back in the offense.
Peter Dewey’s betting record is 103-108-2 (-13.56 units) in the NBA this season. You can find all of his picks here.
