The Los Angeles Lakers continue their downward spiral and now are fourth in the Pacific Division after losing four of their last six games. The Philadelphia 76ers, on the other hand, have won three of four and lead the Atlantic Division.

The two meet tonight in L.A. in what should be a hard watch for Lakers fans. Let’s take a look at some player prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

3 Best Prop Bets for  Sixers vs. Lakers

  • Joel Embiid 45+ Points + Rebounds (-120)
  • Tobias Harris 25+ Points + Rebounds (+160)
  • Tyrese Maxey 25+ Points + Assists (+230)

Joel Embiid 45+ Points + Rebounds (-120)

The Lakers' defense is bad enough most of the time to warrant a bet on Embiid here. But, they have been starting Dwight Howard lately in what has thus far been a failed attempt to jumpstart this team.

Howard ended up playing just 12 minutes in the Lakers' last game, yet managed to amass a plus/minus of minus-13. That is more than a point minute extra when Howard is on the court. If he gets the start again tonight, even if he plays limited minutes, it will allow Embiid to start hot. That is a surefire way to lose a game and I think the Lakers are in for a long night.

Tobias Harris 25+ Points + Rebounds (+160)

This is a bit more of a stretch, but I am taking it for similar reasons as the Embiid prop. If the Lakers are turning to Howard, it means they have zero answers of what to do down low on defense. He is pretty much the last resort. And I get it.

The Lakers are one of the worst defenses in the NBA and give up 51 points per game in the paint. That was their average before allowing Howard to start. I can’t imagine that average getting any better and I think Harris could be a sleeper pick to explode tonight.

Tyrese Maxey 25+ Points + Assists (+230)

While the Lakers do a better job defending the perimeter than the paint, they still allow opponents to shoot over 35 percent from downtown.

Since the All-State Game, Maxey has been a revelation for the Sixers. Sure, he's had a few stinkers here and there. But overall, he’s been a massive boon for this offense.

On Monday night, against a very good Miami Heat defense, Maxey scored 28 points and added four assists. The game before against Toronto, he missed this prop by just one. Considering how bad the Lakers defense is overall, I think Maxey turns in another strong performance and goes over this hugely profitable prop.
