3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Jazz vs. Mavericks (Go Big with Gobert)
By Matt De Saro
The Utah Jazz are on the last leg of a five-game road trip tonight when they take on the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Arena.
Utah is a 1.5-point dog on the road against a Dallas team that's 22-7 SU in their last 29 games, and owns the fifth-best ATS record in the league at 36-27-1.
Let’s take a look at some available prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Jazz vs. Mavericks
- Rudy Gobert OVER 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-145)
- Rudy Gobert OVER 1.5 Blocked Shots (-115)
- Donovan Mitchell OVER 0.5 Double-Doubles (+650)
Rudy Gobert OVER 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-145)
With 45 rebounds over his last three games, Gobert continues to harass opponents on the glass for Utah.
He leads the league in rebounding with 14.8 boards per game and has seen his scoring numbers continue to grow. He has scored 49 points in his last three games including a 27 point explosion against the Heat last Wednesday.
The Mavericks' defense is good but they struggle to defend in the paint against high-quality opponents. Dallas is the 19th ranked team in allowing points in the paint and 24th in opponent defensive rebounding percentage at 78.7.
Rudy Gobert OVER 1.5 Blocked Shots (-115)
After looking over Gobert’s game log, I noticed he has also been blocking a ton of shots lately. Like nine in his last five games overall. He averaged 2.5 blocks per game in February and has gone over this prop in three of his last five games.
Donovan Mitchell OVER 0.5 Double-Doubles (+650)
The Utah Jazz continues to put up wins and is now 8-2 in their last 10 games. Their latest conquest came against the OKC Thunder on Sunday night and they are going to have to turn around and do it all again tonight.
One of the big contributing factors to this run has been Donovan Mitchell. He dropped 24 points and tied his season-high assist total with 10. It was the second time in three games that Mitchell had double-digit assists. While the Mavericks have a strong defense, Mitchell is averaging 25.8 points per game, and am not worried about him scoring 10 points.
As far as the assists, I’m hoping he has decided to be more of a full-time facilitator and puts up his third double-double in his last four games.
