3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Mavericks vs. Heat (Jalen Brunson Burning Bright from 3)
By Matt De Saro
The Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat are two of the best defensive teams in the NBA but I am still going to find some guys who I expect to go off on offense.
Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Mavericks vs. Heat
- Luka Doncic OVER 46.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-120)
- Luka Doncic OVER 3.5 Threes Made (+105)
- Jalen Brunson OVER 1.5 Threes Made (+120)
Luka Doncic OVER 46.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds (-120)
Doncic is among a select few players right now, including guys like DeMar DeRozan and Julius Randle, who are just unstoppable on the court.
And since the Mavericks unloaded Kristaps Porzingis, Doncic has gone into the stratosphere. He is coming off a 45-point, 15-rebound and eight-assist game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night. The game prior he dropped 51 on the same Clippers with nine rebounds and six dimes.
Both of those games would have easily gone over tonight's totals as would have every one of the six games he has played so far this month.
The streak extends into January but, the point is, it is a rare night when Doncic doesn’t put up MVP numbers, I fully understand the Heat have one of the best defenses in the NBA right but Doncic already dropped 33 on them once this season, and that was before his hot streak.
Luka Doncic OVER 3.5 Threes Made (+105)
Doncic is scoring so many points thanks to a recent run of red-hot shooting from downtown. So far this month, Doncic is shooting 43.1 percent from downtown.
What makes that figure even more impressive is the fact that Doncic takes an average of 9.7 3-point shots per game. For a guy with the talent that Doncic does, quantity over quality is perfectly fine. Doncic has both. He hasn’t gone under this total since in his last three games and just twice since Jan. 26.
Jalen Brunson OVER 1.5 Threes Made (+120)
Brunson had a very strong game over the weekend against the Clippers that saw him score 22 points in 39 minutes.
While the Mavericks still lost, Brunson went 4-for-7 from downtown. It was his second game in the last four that he went over this total as his role continues to expand in the wake of Porzingis’ departure. I think he will continue to see expanded playing time and, at these odds, I’m willing to bet he has another good game behind the arc tonight.
