3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Mavericks vs. Pistons (Doncic, Powell Primed For Big Games)
By Joe Summers
The 23-56 Detroit Pistons host the 49-30 Dallas Mavericks tonight at 7:00 PM EST as we're just a handful of games away from the end of the NBA's regular season.
WynnBET Sportsbook has Dallas favored by 8.5, and BetSided's Reed Wallach likes the value on the Mavericks.
But there's a few prop bets that have my attention as well. Let's check out the best prop bets for today's matchup, thanks to our friends at WynnBET:
3 Best Prop Bets for Mavericks vs Pistons
- Luka Doncic Over 28.5 Points (-120)
- Dwight Powell Over 6.5 Rebounds (-125)
- Luka Doncic 40+ Points + Assists (-110)
Luka Doncic Over 28.5 Points (-120)
Luka has been a scoring machine of late, putting up at least 32 points in five straight games. He's had at least 21 shot attempts in each of those contests, so his usage rate is sky-high as Dallas prepares for a potential playoff run.
The Pistons' defense has been excellent recently, but Luka is a different beast. I think Detroit will be able to keep up enough to force Doncic to keep the ball in his hands, so I love his chances to go over this prop for the sixth straight game.
Dwight Powell Over 6.5 Rebounds (-125)
Powell was fantastic in the Mavericks' win over the Bucks on Sunday, pulling down 13 rebounds to go with 22 points in a stellar performance.
He's well-positioned for another strong game against a Pistons offense that has struggled. Over the last 15 games, Detroit ranks 24th in effective field goal percentage and 23rd in rebounding percentage, so there will be plenty of missed shots available for Powell to nab. When he's gotten heavy minutes, he's produced. And thrust into the starting lineup once again tonight, I'm expecting a big game from the former Stanford standout.
Luka Doncic 40+ Points + Assists (-110)
Let's go back to the Luka well. As his usage rate has exploded in his last five games, he's easily cleared this prop each time. He's the gear that makes Dallas' offense go, and against a strong defense in the Pistons I expect him to be heavily utilized.
With 12+ assists in three of his last five and at least 32 points in each game, we should see another excellent game from the MVP-candidate.
