3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Nets vs. Knicks (Expect Quentin Grimes, Seth Curry to Shine)
By Peter Dewey
The Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks are both struggling over their last 10 games, but one of them is going to get a win on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
Normally, these two teams play extremely close games, but with Kevin Durant, RJ Barrett, Kyrie Irving, Derrick Rose and Joe Harris out, we’re going to see two very different teams.
WynnBET Sportsbook has the Knicks favored in this game, but if you’re unwilling to back a side, here are three player props that I have my eye on in this matchup:
Best Prop Bets for Nets vs. Knicks
- Seth Curry OVER 16.5 Points (+100)
- Julius Randle OVER 5.5 Assists (-135)
- Quentin Grimes OVER 12.5 Points (-105)
Seth Curry OVER 16.5 Points (+100)
My guy Donnavan Smoot wrote about Seth Curry’s points prop in our “Best NBA Prop Bets Today” column, and I’m tailing him against the Knicks struggling defense.
New York is bottom seven in the league defensively over its last 10 games, and Curry is going to have plenty of shots on his new team with Irving and Durant out of the lineup. Seth scored 23 points on 18 shots in the win over the Sacramento Kings, and I’d expect he gets similar volume in tonight’s contest.
Julius Randle OVER 5.5 Assists (-135)
The Knicks may not be playing well, but Julous Randle is, as he’s averaging 29.3 points, 12.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game over his last six contests.
Randle is starting to look like the same player who made the All-NBA Second Team in the 2020-21 season, and he’s cleared this assist line in four straight and five of his last six.
The Nets are likely going to force the Knicks’ underwhelming supporting cast to beat them, so I’ll back Randle to dominate in the assist column again.
Quentin Grimes OVER 12.5 Points (-105)
Rookie Quentin Grimes has been one of the bright spots for the Knicks this season, and he’s cleared this line in two of his three games since replacing RJ Barrett in the starting lineup.
Grimes has taken 28 shots over his last two games, including 22 3-pointers, and I’m backing him to see similar volume in this matchup.
The rookie has been a flamethrower from deep, shooting an impressive 39.5 percent from 3, and the Knicks are going to need to find offense outside of Randle to win this game.
If his volume is anywhere near what it was the last two games, I think Grimes hits this over with ease.
