3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Nuggets vs. Spurs
By Matt De Saro
While the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs aren’t considered powerhouse teams right now in the Western Conference, this could still be a great game to watch. The Nuggets have some of the best young-ish talents in the NBA and they will be on full display against a below-average Spurs defense. Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Nuggets vs Spurs
- Aaron Gordon UNDER 13.5 points (-110)
- Monte Morris UNDER 12.5 points (-120)
- Nikola Jokic OVER 7.5 assists (+100)
Aaron Gordon OVER 13.5 points (-110)
Aaron Gordon is going to be a key part of the Nuggets’ chances to beat the Spurs on Thursday night. The Nuggets’ forward is averaging 13.7 PPG and 5.8 boards per game heading into this contest. In his last 10 games, he has turned it up and is averaging 15.2 PPG in 35 minutes of play. On the road, Gordon is posting 13.8 PPG.
So far this season Gordon has gone over this total in 10-of-24 games. Tonight he will be facing off against the 19th best defense in the NBA, so nothing too difficult here. Gordon has played the Spurs once already in 2021, but it wasn’t the most productive of appearances. Gordon managed just eight points in 29 minutes. This was just an off day for Gordon and I think he bounces back tonight and shows the Spurs what he can really do.
Monte Morris UNDER 12.5 points (-120)
Morris is the only UNDER I have of this trio as he is averaging 0.5 PPG less than the posted total for tonight and has been very up and down over the last week and change as far as scoring. In his last five games, Morris’ scoring total has been 11, 19, 9, 22, and 11. So, two-game over this total and three games under. One thing that really helps with prop betting is consistency and Morris just isn't there right now. In his one game against the Spurs, he scored 13 in 29 minutes.
Nikola Jokic OVER 12.5 Rebounds (+100)
Jokic has been dealing with some recent injury issues but has been an absolute beast since returning to action. Especially on the glass. On the season Jokic is averaging 26.3 PPG and 13.4 RPG for the Nuggets and is one of the best all-around players in the league. Over his last ten games, hampered by injuries, his rebounding total has taken a slight dip to 12.3 RPG.
Jokic has 10+ rebounds in five games straight and two of those games saw him reach 15 boards. With the odds well in our favor for this bet, it’s impossible to ignore the plus money value on Jokic tonight. In one game this season against the Spurs, Jokic came down with 16 boards and I expect a similar performance tonight.
