The Minnesota Timberwolves are road favorites on Tuesday when they head to New York to take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

I broke down why I like the under on the total in this game in my NBA Best Bets column, but what about some player props for this game?

Here are three that I have my eye on at WynnBET Sportsbook:

Best Prop Bets for Timberwolves vs. Knicks

  • RJ Barrett OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-135)
  • Evan Fournier OVER 14.5 Points (-105)
  • D’Angelo Russell OVER 6.5 Assists (-130)

RJ Barrett OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-135)

RJ Barrett has been fantastic since returning from the league’s health and safety protocols, and he’s stepped up his game as a rebounder, clearing this number in six of his last 10.

I am buying his 12-rebound game against the Hornets on Monday, as the Knicks face another uptempo team in the Timberwolves who should get plenty of shots up.

Barrett is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game this season, but he’s never had fewer than three boards in a contest, giving him a solid floor to hit this prop on Tuesday.

Evan Fournier OVER 14.5 Points (-105)

Evan Fournier was awful in Monday’s loss to Charlotte, going just 2-for-9 from the field and scoring six points, but I’m buying how he’s played in bounce-back games.

What has Fournier done following his last four single-digit scoring performances?

  • Dec. 16: 23 points (8-for-12 FG, 4-for-7 3P FG)
  • Dec. 25: 15 points (6-for-12 FG, 3-for-6 3P FG)
  • Jan. 2: 20 points (6-for-14 FG, 4-for-10 3P FG)
  • Jan. 6: 41 points (15-for-25 FG, 10-for-14 3P FG)

Fournier is streaky, but when he gets hot, he’s piping hot. He’s averaging 13.5 points per game while shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from deep.

I think he gets going against the Minnesota Timberwolves in what is a much-needed bounce back for the Knicks.

D’Angelo Russell OVER 6.5 Assists (-130)

D’Angelo Russell has been a fantastic playmaker as of late for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as he’s pushed his season average to 7.1 assists per game.

Russell has cleared double-digit assists in four of his last five games and six of his last eight.

That’s a good sign heading into Tuesday’s game with the Knicks, as New York is in the middle of the pack in the NBA in terms of opponent assists per game (24.0). I think Russell continues to dish out dimes and clears 6.5 once again tonight.
