3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Grizzlies vs. Knicks (Making Money with Ja Morant)
By Matt De Saro
The Memphis Grizzlies are still clinging to the top spot in the Southwest Division with a road game at MSG against the New York Knicks tonight. Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Grizzlies vs Knicks
- RJ Barrett UNDER 19.5 Points (-125)
- Ja Morant OVER 40.5 Points + Assists+ Rebounds (-116)
- Julius Randle UNDE 8.5 Rebounds (+100)
RJ Barrett UNDER 19.5 Points (-125)
While Barrett has been one of the bright spots for the New York Knicks over the last month, his production has taken a hit in recent games. This line puzzles me a bit because it is 2.2 points higher than his season average and Barrett is coming off a dreadful game against the Sacramento Kings on Monday.
In that game, Barrett scored 11 points and shot just 28.6 percent from the field. He went 1-for-8 from behind the arc and coughed up four turnovers in 27 minutes. He didn’t have it at all in that game and I am just not willing to be that he goes off on a pretty good Grizzlies defense tonight.
Ja Morant OVER 40.5 Points + Assists+ Rebounds (-116)
Speaking of “going off,” I can’t talk about a Grizzlies game without mentioning Ja Morant. The former No. 2 pick is having an explosive season with an average of 26.4 points per game, 6.8 assists, and 6 rebounds.
While not a frontrunner, he’s in the conversation for the MVP award with the numbers he has been putting up. In his last game on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers, he almost went over this total in points alone with 37 and, when combined with his assists and rebounds figures put him 6.5 points above tonight's total.
Morant also had a triple-double on Friday that would have cashed this prop by 9.5 points. While the Knicks defense is quite good, I think Morant is matchup proof and like him to continue shooting above 50 percent for his third straight game.
Julius Randle UNDER 8.5 Rebounds (+100)
This fade is less about Randle himself and more a testament to how good the Grizzlies are on the glass. Memphis currently leads the NBA with 57.3 rebounds per game and is even better on the road at 58.1 boards per contest. Randle is averaging 9.9 rebounds per game but has just one game in his last seven that he went over nine rebounds and I think that trend will continue here.
