3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves Game 3 (Trust KAT, Fade Jaren Jackson Jr.)
By Peter Dewey
The Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves are knotted at one game apiece in their first-round series heading into Thursday’s Game 3.
If you are unsure of a side in this game, or simply want to root for players to go off, since we are watching the two highest-scoring teams in the NBA, betting on some player props may be the move for you.
Here are three of my favorites at WynnBET Sportsbook for the Grizzlies-Wolves matchup:
Best Prop Bets for for Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves Game 3
- Jaren Jackson Jr. UNDER 15.5 Points (-105)
- Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 10.5 Rebounds (-135)
- Patrick Beverley UNDER 9.5 Points (-115)
Jaren Jackson Jr. UNDER 15.5 Points (-105)
Jaren Jackson Jr. cleared this line in the Grizzlies’ Game 2 win, scoring 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting.
However, he has not been as fortunate lately, scoring 15 or fewer points in seven of his last 11 games. JJJ has dealt with foul trouble already in this series, and his volume is sporadic shooting the ball as of late.
He averages 13.3 shots per game this season, but he’s failed to clear that threshold in all but four games dating back to Feb. 28. I think he’s a solid fade-candidate tonight.
Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 10.5 Rebounds (-135)
Speaking of guys getting in foul trouble, Karl-Anthony Towns can’t seem to get out, yet he’s still posting solid numbers on the glass.
Towns has grabbed 11 or more boards in four of his last six games, and he’s played heavy minutes (over 42 in Game 1), when he isn’t in foul trouble. The Grizzlies have gone small, essentially removing Steven Adams from the rotation, so KAT should be able to dominate down low in Game 3.
Patrick Beverley UNDER 9.5 Points (-115)
Patrick Beverley’s game isn’t scoring the basketball, and he’s cleared this line in just three of his last 11 games.
All three games that Beverley broke into double figures, he scored 10 points exactly, so I feel like this line is a bit on the high side for him in Game 3.
Pat Bev rarely takes double-digit shot attempts (once since Feb. 25), so I just don’t see the volume there for him unless he has an extremely efficient shooting night.
