3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Heat vs. Wizards (Miami Needs Duncan Robinson to Step Up)
By Matt De Saro
The Miami Heat look to hold onto the lead in the Eastern Conference tonight when they take on a struggling Wizards team in Washington.
BetSided's Peter Dewey has already covered this game from top to bottom here. Let’s shift gears and take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Heat vs. Wizards
- Kyle Kuzma UNDER 8.5 Rebounds (-120)
- Duncan Robinson OVER 14.5 Points (-120)
- Duncan Robinson OVER 1.5 Assists (+105)
Kyle Kuzma UNDER 8.5 Rebounds (-120)
Kuzma has proven a useful tool on the glass for a small Wizards team with an average of 8.8 rebounds per game for Washington.
However, he has been slowly falling off that pace in recent weeks and has a very tough matchup against the Heat tonight to deal with. Miami ranks second in the NBA in opponent total rebounds per game at 49.9. The Heat is second in overall defensive rebounds surrendered and fifth on the offensive glass.
While Kuzma is the best rebounder on the Wizards, he is not a good rebounder in the grand scheme of things. As mentioned above, he is also falling off his own pace and his rebounding totals so far in February are 3.1 less than they were per game in January.
Duncan Robinson OVER 14.5 Points (-120)
Robinson becomes a strong play tonight if Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler are unable to suit up. Herro already said this morning he doesn’t expect to play Monday night. Butler has a shot but won’t be at 100 percent either way. If Butler is out, Robinson becomes the go-to scoring option for the Heat in the backcourt along with Kyle Lowry. While his numbers overall are not that impressive, especially coming off a three-point game, the Heat doesn’t have a ton of other options. And his stats are not due to poor play, but due to being the third scoring option in the backcourt. When given the chance to ball, he can. He has multiple games this season where he scored at least 25 points and, most recently, dropped 17 on the Spurs last Thursday. Keep an eye on Butler’s status leading up to tip-off and smash this if he is ruled out.
Duncan Robinson OVER 1.5 Assists (+105)
While Robinson is a guard, his assists totals leave a whole lot to be desired. Overall he is averaging 1.5 dimes per game which is in line with tonight’s total. However, much like as is the case with his scoring total, he will need to step up a bit more tonight than usual with Herro out. He has also been sharing the ball a lot more lately and is averaging three assists per game so far this month. He has gone over this total in three straight games and I think is a good bet at these odds to do so again.
