Two of the NBA’s most high-octane offenses clash tonight in an Eastern Conference play-in game. Despite the expectations, I am not convinced this will be the high-scoring affair many expect.

Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

3 Best Prop Bets for Hornets vs. Hawks

  • Trae Young UNDER 31.5 Points (-110)
  • Terry Rozier OVER 3.5 Threes Made (+120)
  • LaMelo Ball OVER 1.5 Steals (-105)

Trae Young UNDER 31.5 Points (-110)

There is no denying that Young is one of the most talented and determined scorers in the NBA. He is the fourth-highest scorer in the NBA with an average of 28.4 points per game this season. He’s stepped up his game in April and is averaging over 30 points so far this month.

So why fade him in this spot?

Well, as I touched upon earlier today, the Hornets could shut Young down tonight. I realize that sounds crazy, but it has already happened once this season.

Young has only one game where he failed to score in double digits dating back to last season. That game was in mid-March against the Hornets where Young was held to just nine points.

I don’t expect another performance that strong, but I do like the Hornets' chances to keep him under 30.

Terry Rozier OVER 3.5 Threes Made (+120)

Rozier had a huge part in shutting down Young in the last game the Hornets and Hawks played. I think tonight he contributes more than some extra defense.

Rozier is one of the best three-point shooters on this team and they will need his skill to pull off a win tonight. Rozier is coming off a 5-for-9 performance from downtown against the Wizards and is averaging more than two per game.

While this total is a little high for his average, the odds are good and this game has a lot riding on it.

LaMelo Ball OVER 1.5 Steals (-105)

Ball is another important part of this Hornets’ defense and should step up and do his part to frustrate the Hawks’ offense. Ball’s defense earns him quite a lot of steals and I think he swipes a couple of steals tonight.

Ball has six steals in his last five games and has gone over this total twice in that span. Ball also went over this total the last time these two teams played in March.
