The No. 9 seeded Los Angeles Lakers will take on the No. 10 seeded New Orleans Pelicans in a battle for positioning in the Western Conference’s play-in tournament on Sunday.

I’ve previewed this game, but what about some props?

Here are some of my favorites at WynnBET Sportsbook

Best Prop Bets for Lakers vs. Pelicans

  • Race to 25 Points: Lakers (+105)
  • LeBron James 45+ Points, Rebounds and Assists (-164)
  • First Quarter Total Points UNDER 59.5 (-110)

Race to 25 Points: Lakers (+105)

The Lakers and Pelicans are both in the bottom 10 in the NBA in first quarter scoring, but Los Angeles ranks a bit higher, averaging 27.1 points per game in the first quarter.

Over the last three games, the Lakers have upped this number to 31.3 points per first quarter, while the Pelicans sit at 28.3.

I think Los Angeles comes out firing against a Pelicans team that is on the second night of a back-to-back.

LeBron James 45+ Points, Rebounds and Assists (-164)

This may be the easiest bet to make in this game, and I’ll lay the -164 juice with LeBron James, as he’s been dominant as of late.

LeBron has cleared this line in three straight games, and he’s scored 30 or more points alone in six of his last seven contests.

The 45-plus may seem a bit lofty, but LeBron is clearly putting all he can into this Lakers’ playoff push, and he got a rest day in the Lakers’ last game.

A fresh LeBron should dominate on Sunday night.

First Quarter Total Points UNDER 59.5 (-110)

Despite the fourth quarter scoring prowess of these teams over the last three games, I’m going to take the under and expect them to play more to their season-long form in this matchup.

On the season, these two teams combine to average 53.7 points per game in the first quarter, which is a significant amount lower than where this line is at 59.5.

Brandon Ingram’s potential return may boost the Pelicans, but I can’t get to a 60-point quarter between these two struggling squads.
