3 Best NFL Teams to Bet the OVER on This Season (Lions, Browns Lead the Way)

We’re back with the three best teams to bet the over on. To be honest, not much changed this week. There are only five teams in the league with a winning record against the OVER, with eight teams sitting at 3-3. The parity and randomness of the league is shown in this trend, but the teams that are at the top are showing their dominance.

Cleveland Browns (5-1)

Cleveland, even with a bad offensive day, moved up the list and became the best OVER team in the league. The Browns offense got shut down by Bill Bellichick, but the defense was still bad enough to allow plenty of points. They’ll bet back on track next week, but the defense – or lack thereof – should give you hope the OVER will continue to hit. 

The Browns are 30th in the league in points allowed, while also being seventh in points scored. I love that ratio when it comes to betting and rooting for points. 

Detroit Lions (4-1)

The Lions had a bye week, but still remain at the top of this list. Detroit has cleared the total projections by 13.2 points, the highest margin in the league. That is with its 29-0 loss to the Patriots heading into the bye week. 

This is still one of the top offenses in the league – especially out of necessity. With their defense ranking near the bottom of the league, Detroit is going to be in high-scoring games all year long. 

Las Vegas Raiders (3-1-1)

The Raiders are another team that stayed in the top 3 despite a bye week. They are in a similar situation as the Lions, as their defense isn’t great and they are forced to be in shootouts all the time. 

Las Vegas doesn’t have a great margin against the OVER. It has only cleared the total by 1.8 points per game. The Raiders aren’t the most prolific team on the planet, but it makes sense to back the OVER in their games.
