The best teams in the NFL aren’t always the best teams against the spread (ATS), but through 13 weeks in 2022, the three best teams ATS all have winning records and look like they’ll be playoff teams when it’s all said and done.

It’s crucial for us to know who we can trust when betting ATS, so here are the three teams that have been a gambler's best friend this season.

New York Giants 9-3

Nobody expected the Giants to be a winning team this season. That’s why they’ve been so profitable ATS. They took a 50 million dollar dead cap hit this season to expedite their rebuild and have Daniel Jones at quarterback, a guy nobody believed in coming into the year. Brian Daboll has turned that into a 7-4-1 record through 13 weeks. They’ve battled injuries and Saquon Barkley doesn’t look nearly as dynamic as he did at the start of the year, but they were still able to cover against their division rival, Washington, last week.

Cincinnati Bengals 9-3

This team went to the Super Bowl last year and got better over the offseason. It just seems like everyone, including Vegas, forgot. The Bengals haven’t gotten a ton of respect from the oddsmakers setting the lines and that’s allowed them to be a cover machine. Joe Burrow’s team is 8-4 after beating the Chiefs last week. Their 0-2 start to the season is firmly in the rearview mirror and this team is a Super Bowl contender.

Dallas Cowboys 8-4

Dallas started the year with an uninspiring 19-3 loss to Tampa Bay, and then Cooper Rush ripped off four-straight wins and four-straight covers before a loss to Philadelphia. Dan Quinn’s defense was the story to start the year, but now this team looks like a juggernaut on both sides of the ball after a 54-19 win over the Colts that has them at 9-3. The Cowboys got some favorable lines when Rush was the starter that boosted their record ATS, but their five wins with Dak Prescott this season have come by an average margin of 23.6 points.
