Another week, and another week of betting on points. Life is too short to sweat out UNDER bets every week. Scoring is fun and we should all recognize that by now. With only 11 of the 32 teams hitting the OVER more often than the UNDER, locking in on a few trustworthy teams is key.

That’s why BetSided has the top three teams to bet one when backing the OVER in game.

Here are the best teams to bet the over on.

Detroit Lions (4-1)

We didn’t expect the Lions to be perfect on the OVER, did we? Detroit just got smoked 29-0, dropping its OVER record to 4-1. The Lions are still atop the list though because I expect their offense to score more than 0 points in a game. The defense still has major issues, giving the Patriots anything they wanted.

As long as the defense struggles and the offense puts up a league average amount of points, the OVER should be in play.

Detroit is on a bye this week, but keep the over in mind when they return in Week 7 at Dallas.

Cleveland Browns (4-1)

The Browns Week 5 game against the Chargers was the perfect representation of their season. Nick Chubb did whatever he wanted and put the Browns in a position to win the game. Then the defense failed, gave up 30 points and the team lost. That’s why at 2-3, the Browns are one of the better OVER bets.

Until the defense starts playing like an elite unit, this is an OVER team.

Las Vegas Raiders (3-1-1)

Betting on the Raiders to win, or even cover, is a maddening experience. They find ways to lose in the most outrageous fashion. However, the one place they are nearly automatic is on the OVER. The Raiders have hit the OVER in their last three games after going 0-1-1 in the first two games of the season. They are starting to put points on the board, just not wins on the record.

As the offense is hitting its stride, the defense is also allowing too many plays. This is a good offense and a bad defense, which makes for great bets.

The Raiders are on a bye this week but return in Week 7 at home against Houston, who has one of the worst defenses in the league.
