3 Best NFL Teams to Bet the UNDER on This Season
By now, we should all know that UNDERs are the way to go this season. Over half the league hits the UNDER more often than the OVER, but what teams do it best?
There are several teams that are 1-5 against the OVER, but based on margin against the total, we’re going to break down the truly elite teams.
Here are the three best teams to bet the UNDER on this year.
Denver Broncos (1-5)
This is the most obvious play on the board. If you haven’t been betting against the Broncos to score points, where have you been? The Broncos have the worst scoring offense in the league, are top 5 in opponents points per game and first in opponents touchdowns per game. Their defense is one of the best units in the league. If the offense was on the same level, they’d be Super Bowl contenders, but that’s not the case.
With Russell Wilson looking washed as ever, continue to fade Denver when possible.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5)
The Buccaneers have the same story as the Broncos. Their defense is elite (top 5 in points allowed and eighth in touchdowns allowed per game), but the offense is lagging behind (20th in points scored). Tampa Bay still doesn't have an offensive identity and that will hurt them moving forward.
A lot of that is because the offensive line isn’t great, but nonetheless, points aren’t being scored. The Bucs lost an ugly game to the Steelers this past week, and we should expect more games like that moving forward.
Buffalo Bills (1-5)
The Bills are a surprising name to see here, but it also makes sense for one reason. They are being overvalued in the totals market. Four of the Bills’ six games have had totals of at least 50 points. With a great defense, that’s a lot to put on Buffalo’s offense.
As long as the Bills’ defense continues to get the job done – and the oddsmakers give the Bills high totals – the UNDER is a smart way to go.
