3 Best Prop Bets for Buccaneers vs. Cowboys on Sunday Night Football (Leonard Fournette Sees Plenty of Action)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys opened p the NFL season last year. This year, they're set to be the first Sunday Night Football matchup in the 2022 campaign.
Tom Brady originally retired at the beginning of the offseason, but later decided to return for at least one more season. Can he lead the Buccaneers back to the promise land?
The Bucs won last year's matchup by a final score of 31-29. Can the Cowboys get revenge tonight?
Let's take a look at my top three prop bets for tonight's showdown. All odds listed are courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Buccaneers vs. Cowboys Prop Bets
- Leonard Fournette OVER 55.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
- CeeDee Lamb OVER 5.5 Receptions (-130)
- Dalton Schultz Anytime TD (+185)
Leonard Fournette OVER 55.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
One of the stipulations of Tom Brady returning for another year with the Buccaneers, was that he wouldn't have to throw the ball as much as he has in years past. So, expect a more balanced attack from the Buccaneers this season, which means more carries for Leonard Fournette.
This prop is aided by the fact the Cowboys ranked 23rd in opponent yards per carry last season, allowing an average of 4.5 per rush.
CeeDee Lamb OVER 5.5 Receptions (-130)
The story of the Cowboys offense this season is how they'll adjust with Amari Cooper now in Cleveland. CeeDee lamb will be taking over the role as the clear No. 1 receiver, which should mean an increase in targets for him.
He averaged 4.9 receptions per game last season, so if he can just go over his 2021 average by a single catch, this prop bet will be a winner.
Dalton Schultz Anytime TD (+185)
People forget how effective Dalton Schultz was as a tight end last season. He was target 104 times and hauled in 78 catches for 808 yards. Not only that, but he found the end zone on eight different occasions in 15 starts.
This is my favorite touchdown prop of the game at +185.
