3 Best Prop Bets for Bills vs. Saints
What the hell happened to the Bills? That's the question on everyone's mind after they lost to the Jaguars three weeks ago and were blown out by the Colts at home last week. They sandwiched in a blowout win against the Jets, but that was the Jets and no one really cares.
Down on the bayou, the Saints haven't fared much better. Since Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara got hurt, the Saints have lost three straight and seem headed for another L in this one.
But if you'd rather not take your chances picking a winner between these two question marks of teams, you can always put up a few bucks on an anytime TD prop. It's made watching games more fun for me at least because I really don't care who wins. I just want 1-2 people to score!
Anyway, here are my picks with all odds coming from WynnBET.
Best Prop Bets for Bills vs Saints
- Josh Allen Anytime TD Scorer (+150)
- Taysom Hill Anytime TD Scorer (+335)
- Saints First Half Total Points Under 9.5 (-115)
Josh Allen +150
Do I wish these odds were a little higher? Yeah, +150 for a QB to score is very low. But there's a reason for it, of course.
The Saints have given up the most rushing TDs to quarterbacks this season (5). Allen hasn't had big rushing performances the last two games, but the Bills need this win and when he runs effectively they win more often.
Or who knows, maybe they draw up a trick play and Allen scores as a receiver. But whether its on the ground or through the air, I see Allen spiking the ball himself this week.
Taysom Hill +335
I don't LOVE this pick, but I do like it. The Saints just gave Hill a big contract extension for some reason and I get the feeling Sean Payton is going to want to prove he's no idiot by getting Hill involved in this game. He loves trick plays and I see the Saints running a few of them in this one simply because they have so few playmakers remaining on offense. That should benefit Hill, who hasn't been utilized as a pass catcher nearly enough this year. I see him lining up at a bunch of different positions this year and possibly scoring a TD. I'm not completely convinced, but the odds are solid.
Saints First Half Total Points Under 9.5 (-115)
Since Jameis Winston was injured, the Saints have really struggled to score in the first half. 13 total points scored in their last three games in the first half averages out to just over 4 points per first half per game. That's bad.
The flip side is the Saints will want to get off to a fast start in this game. But this is three straight games where they've failed to score more than 7 points in any game. That's a trend. Throw in the Bills needing this win and I'll lean under for the Saints in the first half for this one.
